Production Designer & Art Director

Jesper Clausen is a Production Designer and Art Director based in Copenhagen, Denmark, with experience in both Danish and international co-production feature films. He graduated as a Master of Design from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts – School of Design in 2012.

Jesper’s work has taken him across Europe, contributing to projects in Poland, Sweden, Germany, and the Canary Islands in Spain. Known for his collaborative approach, Jesper has supported Production Designers on Danish film productions, where he took responsibility for the Danish portions of projects while the Production Designer was abroad, overseeing shoots in countries like Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Ireland.

Driven by a passion for creating visually captivating experiences, Jesper brings cinematic worlds to life through original, impactful visual storytelling. He specializes in designing moods and aesthetics that enrich narratives, whether for film, TV, or commercials.

As of August 1, 2024, Jesper has been affiliated with the National Film School of Denmark as part of the teaching faculty for the Production Design program, sharing his knowledge and expertise with emerging designers.
